Are you eligible for a discount ticket? We’ve got plenty of great offers at DIG! Before you book, take a moment to see which discounts we currently accept.

The following discounts are available to book in advance for DIG.

NHS/ Emergency Services/ British Armed Forces/ Blue Light Card

Enjoy 20% off admission. This discount is available for every member of your party (when purchased together).

Please note: This discount applies only to single-attraction tickets and does not apply to joint or combined attraction tickets.

York Card

Enjoy 20% off admission with a valid York Card. This discount is available for the cardholder only and must be redeemed in person by showing a current York Card on arrival.

Blue Peter Badge

Enjoy free entry with a valid Blue Peter Badge. This offer is available for the badge holder only and applies to visitors under 16 years old.


Please bring both your Blue Peter Badge and badge card to redeem this offer.

Carer

We are pleased to offer free entry for carers who are accompanying and assisting someone during their visit. If you have a carer’s card or similar form of ID, please bring it with you — but don’t worry if you don’t have one; we understand that not everyone who requires assistance will have formal documentation.

Returning Visitors

Most of our tickets are valid for 12 months, allowing you to visit times within that period. When booking your return visit, please select the Gift Aid option if you added Gift Aid to your original purchase, or Non-Gift Aid if you did not.

Return visits are available for all members of your original party, but tickets are not transferable. Please bring your original ticket and photo ID with you.

York Pass

You can reserve a time online, but you must present a valid York Pass on arrival. Your pass will be redeemed at the door. You can get you York Pass here.

Max Card

A MAX Card provides free entry for up to 2 adults and 2 children.

Please select the Free Adult and Free Child options when reserving your time, and remember to bring your MAX Card with you.

Tesco Clubcard Partner Codes

You can use Tesco Clubcard Partner Codes to pay for admission. Please exchange your points for a Clubcard Partner Code via your Tesco account. You will receive an email with QR codes. When you arrive, have your QR code ready for us to scan, and we will provide a paper ticket.

Please note: Clubcard Partner Codes can be used only for single-attractions tickets and are not valid for discounted or joint tickets. They can, however, be used for families of 4 or 5.

These are our most commonly used discount, and can be purchased online – if you have another voucher or discount that is not listed here, please ask for more information ([email protected] or 01904 615505) before purchasing tickets.

We also offer discount for English Heritage members online and by phone.

English Heritage Members (includes CADW and Historic Scotland)

Enjoy a 15% off admission when you show a valid English Heritage Membership card for each member of the party.

Please note:

  • Other schemes that provide free entry to English Heritage sites (e.g. Barclays Premier, CSSC) are not eligible for this offer.
  • This discount not available on family or joint attraction tickets.
  • This discount does not apply to the Pastport or event tickets.
