Dig deeper into the stories of York’s archaeology with our adult-only tours, running every afternoon.
The archaeological adventure at DIG is always popular with families, the final tour of each day is designed specifically for an adult -audience, giving a deeper insight into the ground-breaking work of York Archaeology.
- Introduced by archaeologists, who can answer your questions about life in the (archaeological) trenches
- Use your trowel and brush to uncover real archaeological finds in our pits (clean ‘soil’ – you will not get dirty!)
- Handle replica items of some of the greatest discoveries in our collection
